WOW-- am I glad to have this last semester of school over and done!
It was my last semester at SMCC and I finally graduated on May 17th. My school days are over for the time being... I think I might like to get my BFA eventually (maybe), but for now, all I want to do is be home with the guys and not have to deal with homework and research papers while they are all hanging out and having fun in the next room. We only get to keep them here with us for such a short time before they are off on their own college adventures and I feel like I've already spent as much of that time on schoolwork as I am willing. Owen will graduate high school in 3 years and then Oscar follows 2 years after that! I don't want to spend the rest of our time living together with my nose in a book. So, perhaps some day I will turn this AA into a BFA, but for now I'm happy to just have this one under my belt!

The best support team a girl could have! (Good thing we took this pic facing into the blazing hot sun... Squinting much??)

Underneath the Civic Center, waiting for the ceremony to begin. The golden tassel is for having high honors-- not a perfect GPA, but a 3.96 is pretty cool, too...

Earlier in the semester, I was lucky enough to be able to take an art course in Barcelona, Spain. It was truly amazing and I would LOVE to go back with my guys. The food and art were just breathtaking. The street performers on La Rambla were pretty fun, too! (This one called me "Baby!")

Somehow I am managing to NOT get pick-pocketed on La Rambla! (no easy feat-- whew!)

I treated myself to a deelish lunch at the hotel restaurant at Montserrat. This is the entire restaurant-- very cozy and amazing. (And not even that expensive, given that I had a veal filet, 2 glasses of cava, and a delightfully huge creme brûlée-- all for about €32.00)

First day in Spain-- posing in front of Arc de Triomf. Not too far from our residencia.

Once I got back from Spain, had finished finals, and the student art show and graduation were over... We've went back to doing more normal stuff like attending Memorial Day parades:
Skip and Lola at the parade-- she LOVES parades!

Owen & Rocco at the parade-- two cool dudes.

There's Oscar in his Boy Scout uniform, marching with the middle school band.

Rocco and Abe-- BFFs since kindergarten. This was at the 3rd Grade "Solar System Museum" at school. In case you can't tell, Rocco's project is about asteroids. He created a board game, complete with spinner.

Skip & Rocco at the Willowbrook Colonial Village general store. This was a year-end field trip for the 3rd grade-- Skip and I were lucky enough to chaperone together!

Pool party at cousin Jimmy's house in Massachusetts last week! Always a fun time to see them, and we also got to see Aunt Sheila and Bill, who were up from North Carolina. We love hanging with our North Andover peeps! xoxo

So, that's a half-decent photo roundup for the last 4 months... Sorry to have been an absentee blogger! It's just that there's been so much on my plate and I get a bit overwhelmed with getting it all done the way I would like. Often, if I can't get it done the way I want, I would prefer not to do it at all! I do apologize... I am hoping to be on here more often these days. The dust is beginning to settle now that I have nowhere to go and nothing to do on any kind of regular schedule! Why not blog, right??
I am also working hard on my nine9dots Design Co. storefront on Etsy (opening soon). I've also been busy creating my professional artist presence on the www. (A necessity for resumes and art gigs.) After a lot of cross-eyed time spent on the computer the last few weeks, I finally bought my domain name and published the site! There will be a separate blog there, eventually, but it will be solely for art purposes. Feel free to check out the site and tell me what you think...
www.korensullivan.com I'll be updating/tweaking it even more in the next few weeks, but I'm pretty happy with it for now.
On that note, I must sign off... We have pizzas to grill (or, Skip does, anyway... I am merely drinking wine and pretending to assist!) Until next time... Happy Summer, everyone! xoxo
